Dubai, UAE – The first round of auditions for the much-anticipated global singing competition Universal Idol took place on January 5th, 2025, at the prestigious Seven Seas Hotel in Dubai. This event attracted an impressive 84 contestants from diverse backgrounds, each showcasing remarkable talent and passion for singing.
The auditions featured an esteemed jury led by Bollywood singer Ali Quli Mirza, who provided valuable feedback and encouragement to participants. Hosting the event with great enthusiasm was Simran Ahuja, who kept the audience entertained and energized throughout.
Prominent figures graced the occasion, including Joga Singh, entrepreneur and philanthropist; Arav Khan, proprietor of Arav Jewellers and Chairman of Arav Airlines; Jithendra Singhla, industrialist and owner of Seven Seas Hotel; Vijay Soni and Shakeel Hassan, Chairman of HMC Events and the Mohammed Rafi Sahab Fans Club UAE; and Naghma Khan, Chairman of Shaz Media Entertainments.
Out of the 84 contestants, 10 exceptional singers earned a direct place in the Top 50, while 25 advanced to the second round. The event was organized by HMC Events UAE, with leadership from Shakeel Hassan, Shabaaz, Danish Dan, and Jasim Sheikh, supported by a dedicated team of 15 volunteers. Shaz Media Entertainments, represented by Naghma Khan, also played a significant role in the event’s success.
The auditions were a remarkable start to Universal Idol, paving the way for a thrilling journey ahead. This competition is set to celebrate music, culture, and talent on a global stage, uniting voices from around the world.
